Police in Lacey, N.J., said a man picked the wrong part of town to drive through while under the influence Friday.

At about 6 p.m., security personnel at Exelon's Oyster Creek nuclear plant called police to report that a white van had pulled into a plant checkpoint under suspicious circumstances. Lacey Patch reported that the driver told security guards he'd taken a wrong turn and wound up on Oyster Creek property. When police arrived they arrested the 52-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving with an open alcoholic beverage in the van.  Security officers told police a passenger in the vehicle also appeared intoxicated.

Oyster Creek is located near the New Jersey coast, about 60 miles east of Philadelphia. The incident did not pose a threat to plant safety, and Exelon did not appear to have filed an event report with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
