A number of C-level leadership changes Southern Co. will place a new vice president at Southern Nuclear, the company announced Thursday.
Leigh Davis Perry will replace John L. Pemberton as senior vice president and general counsel for Southern Company operations and Southern Nuclear, which operates the company’s reactors. They are located at plants Farley, Hatch and Vogtle – the construction site of two new AP1000 reactors.
Perry was assigned the post as Pemberton takes over as senior vice president and senior production officer of generation at Georgia Power, a position vacated by Stanley W. Connally Jr., who assumed the job of CEO of Southern subsidiary Gulf Power. That position had been filled by Mark A. Crosswhite. He was promoted to Southern Co. chief operating officer following the retirement of Anthony J. Topazi.
