The Chinese embassy in London said in a statement it had “noticed” a report in the Financial Times that the UK government is considering ways to remove Chinese nuclear energy companies from future power projects in the country, but “it remains to be confirmed” whether the report reflects the government’s position.
“The cooperation between China and the UK on nuclear energy is mutually beneficial,” the statement said.
