The CEO of Savannah River Nuclear Solutions will leave his position for a different job within Fluor Corp., the Savannah River Site contractor announced Tuesday.
Dwayne Wilson came to the Department of Energy site in 2011 from a position as Fluor's group president of industrial and infrastructure, according to his company biography. Wilson's new position and his successor at SRNS were not disclosed. A release from the contractor reported that Wilson will leave the site in mid to late June.
SRS in South Carolina is home to several Cold War-era nuclear cleanup projects, a national laboratory and a tritium production facility. SRNS, a consortium of Fluor, Newport News Nuclear and Honeywell, won the maintenance and operations contract at the site in 2008. During Wilson's tenure, SRNS oversaw the renewal of H Canyon operations and the completion of additional cleanup activities funded through the federal stimulus bill.
