On the news of the agreement between EDF and Constellation, Jacques Besnainou, CEO of AREVA North America, said:
"This agreement is very good news, because it creates favorable conditions for the continued development of a U.S. EPR project in Maryland, which would create thousands of jobs and spur billions of dollars of investment for the region.
It also is good news for the development of nuclear energy in the United States and for AREVA's EPRTM technology in particular.
