Counties keen on new power, jobs, and tax revenues say “Yes! In My Back Yard”

Boise, Idaho, August 6, 2009 – Alternate Energy Holdings, Inc. (AEHI) is pleased to announce that Several Idaho counties, and the state of Idaho itself, have now offered lands for AEHI's new nuclear plant. These nascent offers follow approval delays in Elmore County.
According to AEHI CEO and President Don Gillispie, "It is certainly exciting to have so much local support. It is easy to recognize the tremendous benefits that this project will bring to the winning locality. We eagerly look forward to being the source of high paying jobs, critical tax revenues; and abundant, low cost, clean power. This region has been overlooked in terms of base load energy options and we feel excited to have this opportunity to help out. We look at the competition for our plant as a friendly competition and we are now looking at two additional sites.”
AEHI's site engineering contractor is busy completing the needed assessments so that we can move forward in a timely manner. The company has also been in contact with several non-nuclear utilities who are considering nuclear plants instead of continuing to invest in the rising costs of carbon plants.
"This is likely to be an increasing trend as primarily fossil-based utilities realize that nuclear is really the only option for clean and reliable base load power today. While nuclear prices are affordable and stable, fossil-fuel prices continue to rise dramatically while their reliability declines for their customers,” says Gillispie.
