Larsen and Toubro (L&T) an engineering and construction company said today that it has delivered its first four dry shielded canisters for Transnuclear Inc as part of orders for three American nuclear power plants. These canisters will be used to store spent nuclear fuel.
"Larsen and Toubro delivered the first four dry shielded canisters for Transnuclear Inc, US," the company said in a regulatory filing.
These canisters form a part of orders of 50 such units for three American nuclear power plants to be manufactured in accordance with quality assurance requirements per US code of federal regulations and nuclear safety class 1 standards.
