Homeland Security Capital Corporation’s Security Integrator Subsidiary; Specialized Experience Creates New Opportunities and Revenue Growth

 – By Stephen Heiser –

Homeland Security Capital Corporation (HSCC), an international provider of specialized technology-based radiological, nuclear, environmental, disaster relief and security solutions to government and commercial customers, has announced that its subsidiary, Nexus Technologies Group (“Nexus”), a mid-Atlantic security integrator for the corporate and governmental security markets, has been awarded two contracts totaling approximately $300,000 for services and equipment to facilitate the upgrade and expansion of the security system at a large east coast nuclear power generating facility.

“Nexus continues to pursue projects and win contracts while increasing its geographic footprint and industry diversity,” said Nexus CEO, Michael T. Brigante. “These awards are a result of our efforts to penetrate the region’s critical infrastructure expansion and security needs.”

Nexus has been issued two contracts from a large east coast nuclear power generating facility. The facility is currently upgrading and expanding its security system and Nexus is providing engineering, technical and project management services. Nexus will be deploying specialized technologies and supplying equipment to complete this work. The awards were based on Nexus’ technical abilities and expertise as well as Nexus’ previous experience implementing these technologies at other nuclear power generating facilities.

The award of these contracts is particularly significant because it represents additional security work performed for a major east coast utility that operates multiple nuclear power generating stations. In addition, the work being performed under these contracts is in a new geographic service area for Nexus, further expanding the Company’s area of service coverage in the Mid-Atlantic region.

“This project demonstrates our advanced engineering and technical abilities in a highly critical and sensitive area of security,” commented Nexus President, Robert Biscardi.

Completion of the work under these contracts is expected by the end of first quarter of fiscal 2010.
