Joint agreement to develop and deploy engineered products and capabilities for the family of BROKK machines

 – By Linton Levy –

BROKK and RJR Engineering PC. (RJR) announce a cooperative agreement to develop and deploy engineered products and capabilities for the family of BROKK machines. These products and capabilities will address both current and emerging requirements of our nuclear, military and commercial customers.

Launched at the 2009 Waste Management Expo (WM09) in Phoenix, is the RJR Designed parallel Gripper which can be fitted as an interchangeable attachment to any of the current BROKK family of machines. The Gripper can also be easily adapted to fit previous versions of BROKK machines which are in operation worldwide.

The stainless steel Gripper has a lift capacity of up to 40 Lbs, has a built in 360° rotator and is designed to operate in high radiation and other hazardous environments. The length of the arm can be specified to order dependent on the project requirements and there are custom interchangeable jaw inserts available.

“The RJR designed Gripper attachment offers a reliable, capable and cost effective solution to a wide range of customer requested applications, it is a straightforward and seamless integration and we are very pleased to add this to our BROKK attachment toolbox” said Tony Marlow of BROKK

“The BROKK machines are well proven platforms for deploying equipment in hazardous environments. They are unique in their combination of compact size, power, flexibility and reliability. The integration of the Gripper adds to the growing list of tasks and operations that can now be completed remotely, further ensuring the safety of workers” added Peter Vlad of RJR.

BROKK is a leading provider of compact remotely controlled electro-hydraulic machines designed to deploy a wide range of interchangeable tools and attachments. RJR Engineering Inc is a leading professional engineering company.
