Dominion has hired Babcock & Wilcox to service steam generators across its operating nuclear fleet.

In a release Thursday, B&W announced it will provide steam generator repair, inspection and cleaning at the Millstone plant in Connecticut and at the North Anna and Surry plants in Virginia. The company did not disclose the value or length of the multi-year contract. It will include eddy current testing, visual inspection and water lancing beginning this fall.

The contract covers six pressurized water reactors, two at each plant. Five were designed by Westinghouse and one, Millstone 2, was designed by Combustion Engineering, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
